2021 has been a turbulent year with many ups and downs and developments all around. Now it’s time to leave this turbulent year behind us and start anew. But before doing so why now briefly have a look back at the past year and how some of the changes occured impacted our lives.
People have gotten accustomed to a life with lockdowns and restrictions. Many of us have worked from home this past year, some of us enjoy this new way of working and the freedom it provides. Yet we still need physical contact to thrive in this new world, which working from home took from us.
Many companies wondered how they should mix this new way of working with our familiar physical meetings. Even now, we are still struggling with this ‘new normal’ and how it needs to be shaped.
These restrictions also brought major changes to many businesses, especially to physical stores. With these stores forced to close, many companies didn’t survive these trying times, or will not survive the future because of it. Businesses had to adapt had to transform their way of doing business into a hybrid, multi-channel or omnichannel setup, in order to continue selling their products and services to their customers.
This year has already consisted of many changes forced by our current circumstances. Yet, many changes are still expected to take place in the coming year.
